Kurki Ecovillage Association received a positive decision from Leader Kantri for the Centre for Sustainable Development project application! We receive EU rural funding to renovate an old barn building 🙂
During the project, the farm will be transformed into a centre for sustainable development, with the active promotion of responsible lifestyles and biodiversity at the heart of its activities. It will become an accessible, multi-purpose space for the association and external activities. The centre will be able to organise cultural events, training, courses, sports, hobbies and other activities related to sustainable lifestyles for different age and reference groups.
A lot of work has already been done before this decision, but this has given us new momentum! It should be ready by the end of 2027. Maybe soon we'll be dancing here, running wellbeing workshops and practising the basics of self-sufficiency. Maybe your work community will want a development day in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Maybe you long for a peaceful but communal space to do your own thing. All this and much more to come! We will also be offering space to other actors, so keep an eye out for updates on this!
